Testimonials – Can You Really Trust Them?

Varicose Veins Testimonials

On-line Testimonials

Can we really have any confidence in online reviews and testimonials? A recent investigation by the BBC has suggested that on some review sites up to 20% of posted comments may be bogus.

I am very proud of the positive reviews I have received on the iWantGreatCare website, so I asked their team how they could be sure the reviews that they receive are genuine. Here is what they said:

“iWantGreatCare has a number of processes in place … Continue reading »

4 Years Later – Still No Varicose Veins After Foam Sclerotherapy

Yesterday I met Julie from Frome near Bath in Somerset. Way back in 2011, I treated her leg varicose veins with Ultrasound Guided Foam Sclerotherapy and yesterday her legs looked great. There were no varicose veins to be seen and her duplex ultrasound scan showed that were no signs of reflux whatsoever in either leg.

Varicose Veins

Before Foam Sclerotherapy

Julie had endured horrible, lumpy, painful varicose veins in both legs for years.  Her Mother had them, so there was a strong hereditary factor in their appearance. She noticed … Continue reading »

Super Glue For Veins

Almost exactly 2 years ago, I treated Isabella Byrne and yesterday I saw her for a check up. She had Venaseal™ or ‘superglue’ treatment which is a unique non-surgical treatment that uses a medical adhesive to safely and effectively treat varicose veins. Unlike other treatments, VenaSeal™ does not require tumescent local anaesthetic around the vein, so there are far fewer injections. The VenaSeal™ procedure also eliminates the use of heat (or thermal energy) so there is virtually no risk of nerve or skin injury. As the medical ‘superglue’ sets within a few minutes, medical stockings are not required afterwards.

At her … Continue reading »

A Moving Testimonial From Varicose Vein Sufferrer

Lizzie Wiltshire’s story

“My legs used to be the only part of my body that I really liked when I was a teenager. All that changed for me though when I started to develop varicose veins in my early twenties. I hated them although at this stage they were quite minor. My father had terrible veins in his legs and I always knew that I was heading the same way. By the time I had my children they were already bad and I constantly wore clothes that would cover them up – even in the most beautiful weather or while on … Continue reading »

My Choice for My Own Veins

Yesterday, I had my veins treated. I have had superficial vein reflux in both legs for over 12 years and over the last couple of years, my legs have swelled, ached and throbbed. Last summer in the hot weather, they were particularly painful. So the time had come to get them sorted out. What treatment would I choose and who would treat me?

Varicose Veins in Men

Fit men may get varicose veins. Many people believe myths that women get varicose veins more frequently than men, that pregnancy, being overweight or life-style choices (lack of exercise, diet, or occupation) cause varicose veins.
