Treatment — phlebectomy

Phlebectomy is performed for large unsightly varicose veins that are close to the surface of the skin. After numbing the skin with local anaesthetic, a small "nick" 1 mm in size is made in the skin (slightly bigger than a needle prick for a blood test) and by using a micro-instrument the varicose vein is removed. Dr Gajraj has invented a new method for vein extraction by phlebectomy that leaves no surgical scars. Phlebectomy can be performed after Laser or VNUS Closure in one visit.

Testimonials

I am delighted with the results of the endovenous laser treatment performed on my left leg. Having the procedure under local anaesthetic was on the whole, painless...
